SHADI KATIRAI practices professional and medical malpractice, product liability, and personal injury. Shadi’s health law practice includes the defence of health care professionals as well as health care organizations including hospitals, long-term care facilities, retirement residences, and nursing homes. Shadi also assists insurance companies in handling disability, and travel insurance claims.
Shadi represents clients before all levels of Court in Ontario as well as before administrative tribunals and professional colleges.
Shadi is a Council Member on one of Ontario’s Regulated Health Professional Boards and also serves on the Ontario Bar Association Health Law Executive. She has also served as a member of the Research Ethics Boards of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Toronto Rehab Institute.
Shadi earned an LL.M. from Georgetown University in Health Law, an LL.B. from Queen’s University, and a B.Sc.(Hons.) in Human Biology from the University of Toronto.
