Biography

ZACHARY SHERMAN is a calculated and decisive advocate committed to achieving optimal results for his clients. Zachary is developing a broad litigation practice with a focus on class actions, construction disputes, professional liability and insurance coverage.

Prior to joining as an associate, Zachary summered and articled at Stieber Berlach. As a student, he worked on a wide range of the firm’s practice including complex certification motions, large claims under the Construction Act and contentious commercial disputes. He has also received exposure to a breadth of dispute resolution forums, including multiple levels of courts, mediations, arbitrations and administrative tribunals.

Zachary received his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School where he was selected as a Dean’s Fellow in Civil Procedure and awarded the Howard S. Black Prize in Estates. During law school, Zachary was engaged in multiple advocacy initiatives for immigrants and refugee claimants, having authored legal-educational materials for the Centre for Immigrant and Community Services and drafted refugee appeals and H&C applications for the FCJ Refugee Centre.

Outside of the law, Zachary is an avid chess player and enjoys watching sports and travelling.
