STEPHANIE DE SOUSA is a passionate advocate who is dedicated to providing high-quality legal work and professional client service. Stephanie is developing a practice focused on professional negligence, tort claims, product liability, commercial disputes, and insurance coverage matters.
Stephanie has assisted with matters in various courts and administrative tribunals, including the Ontario Small Claims Court, the Ontario Superior Court, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal.
Stephanie received her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2021. During law school, Stephanie competed in several mooting competitions and was a case worker for the Innocence Project. She also volunteered as a case worker for the Wills Project and Durham Community Legal Clinic.
Prior to attending law school, Stephanie obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Arts in Canadian History. While completing her graduate degree, she helped develop a museum exhibit entitled Canada by Treaty: Histories of a Negotiated Place.
Prior to returning to Stieber Berlach as an associate, Stephanie articled with the firm. She is a member of the Ontario Bar Association and the Toronto Lawyers Association.
When not practicing law, Stephanie loves to cook, travel, and attend live theatre.
