Biography

DOUGLAS TREILHARD is a versatile civil litigator whose practice encompasses personal injury defence, class actions, professional liability and all aspects of insurance law. He has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario.

Whether in court or in settlement negotiations, Douglas fashions meticulous analysis into forceful advocacy. Clients appreciate his responsiveness, clear advice and single-minded dedication to their interests.

Douglas joined Stieber Berlach after practising for several years in each of Ottawa and Thunder Bay and articling as a judicial law clerk for the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto. In law school, he was an editor for the Queen’s Law Journal, a student caseworker with Queen’s Legal Aid, a research assistant for two professors, and the recipient of numerous academic awards.
