Linda Phillips-Smith
LINDA PHILLIPS-SMITH has developed a broad practice, but her primary practice areas include products liability, general liability, coverage, municipal liability, environmental liability and toxic torts, medical malpractice, motor vehicle and personal injury.
She has written and lectured in a variety of areas of law including the defence of class actions, sexual abuse claims, medical malpractice, coverage and multi-jurisdictional, multi-party claims. She has presented and chaired lectures at a variety of organisations, including the Defence Research Institute, Ontario Bar Association, Insight Educational Services, and various hospitals in Ontario. Her interests in the sciences have also allowed her to present research and interpretation at the International Symposium of Immunologists and to prepare and edit research articles.
Linda is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Canada Bar Association, Defence Research Institute and American Trial Lawyers Association and Medical Legal Society. Linda has presented argument and cases at all levels of court and also acted as counsel in international matters.
Linda obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie University in 1989. She also holds an honours B.Sc. (distinction) and conducted her graduate studies in Immunology at the University of Toronto.
